One down, ??? More to go.

Brooklynn has her first childhood illness. She has Roseola, sometimes referred to as Sixth Disease. Her rash is pretty impressive. It started on her head and went all down her face, neck, back, chest and even her groin area. She is a warm-blooded girl and the hotter she gets, the more vibrant the rash gets. I guess this is one down and however many more to go.

Something I didn’t know was that most kids get this before they turn 3 and the Mayo Clinic site said that the most common age was between 6 and 12 months. I had it in my head that kids were usually older than that. Other than Brooklynn being a bit irritable and not sleeping well when her fever was high, she’s been fine.
